Special Showing of Thich Nhat Hahn Film Coming to Spectrum Theater October 18

I am a member of the Village Moon Sangha in Delmar, NY. We are a meditation group that practices in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hahn and meets twice a month from 6-8 pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays at the Delmar Reformed Church (386 Delaware Ave, Delmar, NY). At each meeting, we hear a Dharma talk by Thich Nhat Hahn or a similar teacher, have sitting and walking meditations, and have a Dharma discussion over tea and snacks.

I am excited to announce that the Village Moon Sangha has arranged a special showing of the new film Walk With Me at the Spectrum Theater on Wednesday, October 18th at 7:30 pm. Narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, Walk With Me is a cinematic journey into the world of mindfulness and the Zen Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh. Filmed over three years and with unprecedented access, this visceral film is a meditation on a community who have given up all their possessions for a monastic life in rural France. The film has had excellent reviews from RogerEbert.com, Village Voice, and many others.

Tickets for this special showing of Walk With Me are $10 when purchased in advance. At least 75 tickets have to be pre-ordered for the film to come to the theater (if by chance we do not pre-sell enough tickets, no one will be charged). Get your tickets now to reserve your spot for this special showing!

We hope you attend and enjoy the October 18th showing of Walk With Me. The Village Moon Sangha also always welcomes new members at our gatherings on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 6-8pm in Delmar. For more information, e-mail Mary mjscottny AT verizon.net.
