Each month, The Nutrition and Education Committee (NEC) posts a short survey in the Co-op Voice. We know you all have busy lives, and we want you to know that we really appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback.

This month, we have survey questions from the Wellness Department’s new manager, Alex Mytelka. He is interested in your experience with the Wellness Department and wants to know what he can do to improve it. Did you know that you can special order items through the Wellness Department? They can get you almost anything! All you have to do is stop in at the Wellness counter and ask. Please, take a few minutes to fill out this survey and help Alex make the Wellness Department a better place to shop for your supplements and body products.

June’s Survey Results

Your survey answers and comments are always so helpful, and they’re fun for us to share with you. We really appreciate your participation! In June, we asked about your recent shopping experiences at the Co-op. Please click here to see the full results of June’s survey.

We asked, “The last time you were shopping at the Co-op and looking for a specific product that you had never purchased there before, how did you get help locating the item?” The majority of respondents said they looked for a Staff person in the department that they thought the product might be located in, or they simply asked the first Staff person they found. Quite a few people didn’t seek help at all; they just found the item on their own. A few respondents said they asked a Shopper’s Helper, a Member-Owner, or went to the Service Desk.

When we asked how long it took to locate the item, almost half of our respondents said they found their product in less than one minute. Most of them found their product in less than five minutes. It took over five minutes for one respondent, while two never found their product at all, and one said the service desk checked and discovered the item was out of stock.

Last we asked, “If someone helped you to locate the item, was the person that helped you…
Easy to find? Easy to recognize? Friendly? Helpful? Knowledgeable about the product?”

Most respondents that found help said that the person that helped them was helpful, friendly, and easy to recognize. Almost half said it was easy to find someone and the person they found was knowledgeable about the product being sought. The other half said they were somewhat easy to find, and knowledgeable about the products. Only one person said it was not easy to find someone.

The responses to this survey say a lot about our Staff and all the people that work on the floor of the Co-op. By and large, they are helpful, friendly, easy to recognize, easy to find, knowledgeable about the products, and they can help us find our products fast. Sometimes they are shorthanded or busy in the back of the store, and not easily found out on the floor. But, all in all, we have some great people running our Co-op! And we could use more great employees and member-owners to help keep our store operations smooth.
